My BAR is an old Belgium made .338 Win Mag. The trigger is nice and it shoots as well as I can, which means it likely shoots much better. It would be a comfortable rifle to shoot in .308. A Pachmayr Decelerator tames the .338 pretty well. I doubt it would be needed with the .308. The BAR is a sturdy well made rifle. It would make a fine hunting rifle if you're looking for a semi auto. JMHO
