Glad you read about us Ned,, in the past few years we've been covered in several publications, including Trap & Field, Sporting Clays Magazine, Gun World, Women & Guns, The Antler, Guns & Ammo, and many regional publications.

The event will be held at Markham on April 14-16th. The 14th will be a practice day, with side events open. Saturday and Sunday morning will be the main competition days. Sunday at noon will be the "Celebrity Shootout" competition, followed shortly by the awards ceremony.

Format for the competion will be:

Event 1: 50 rounds skeet, 50 rounds 5-stand

Event 2: 100 rounds Sporting Clays

A standard entry will include 2 lunches, entry in either event 1 or 2 (including ammo), ticket to Saturday evening's banquet/auction and sunday afternoon's BBQ dinner after the awards ceremony, and an embroidered polo shirt. We also give away each shooter a gift bag with items from some of our sponsors. This entry will be around $200.

For $300, you get both events (200 targets, incl. ammo), all the stuff mentioned above, plus an embroidered hat. You will also be eligible for "High Over All" prizes, which is determined by a combination of scores in event 1 and 2. This is the option that about 80% of our competitors have chosen.

The last two years we have given away over $20,000 in prizes (each year). Prizes have included Glocks, S&W revolvers, a Merkel Shotgun, Muzzle loaders, Custom Handguns, Custom Rifles, Remington Shotguns, Chuck Stapel Knives, Vacation packages, binoculars, software, ammunition, scopes, nightvision devices and lots of other goodies. I think everyone of our competitors has gotten something during the door prize give-away at the awards ceremony. In the main events we award prizes in 3 flights, and to the ladies, so we end up with about 50 plaques to award each year, after you factor in side events and the celebrity competition.

Side Events:

This year's side events will include Trap (100 targets), a Handgun event, and a Xbow Event. Traditionally, each entry ticket for a side event (price varies from $5-$25) also serves as a raffle ticket for a cool prize. Typically we would offer a handgun at the handgun event, a shotgun at the trap event and (go figure...) a Xbow at the Xbow event. These are awarded in additoin to prizes based on score.

The main thing for me with this event has always been two fold: Give lots of stuff to the competitors (including chances to SHOOT) and make sure that our sponsors get good exposure (on-site, articles, TV) If those two things happen then we will have a successful event and WUAS will get a nice check at the end of the weekend.

I'm stillworking on the new IMCS4 website....
