Basically the same layout as the Savage FV-SR. Short, light, threaded barrel. But with a target style stock. Not sure if it is $300 more rifle than the Savage though..

I did get to handle a used CZ452 at a local gunshow today. It was well-worn, but it did give me a chance to handle and check out the safety and bolt handle position. Not sure if it is better than the Savage, just different. Magazines are definitely better quality than the Savage mags, and the release seemed better thought out.
All of these things are subjective and will just take some getting accustomed to.
