When measuring OAL using a Stoney Point gauge or similar method, how hard do you push the bullet to the lands? I've been pushing it until I feel the bullet lightly touch, but I'm getting a pretty wide variance in measurements and wonder if that's because I'm not doing it right.

In speaking with others, some are telling me that they really jam it hard.

If you jam it hard, what setback do you use? (223Rem and 30-06)
