As a general safety rule, you are allowed to have ammo only in the gauge of the gun your are shooting -- this could be broadly enforced to include pistol ammo. At one of my clubs there is a rule:
Guests must be accompanied at all times. Are you supposed to accompany your guest to the toilet?
