Some of my favorite range guns are ones that I don't carry, mainly because they are simply too big for comfortable carry in my circumstances. These include my Sig P229 and my CZ 75B, and of course my .22s would fall into the range group as well.

Kreyzhorse's point is a good one, and I always make sure that some of my range time is devoted to shooting those guns I do carry on a regular basis, such as my Bersa .380 and my Kel-Tec P-11.

I also have some "mid-size" guns that could fill either role.
