I lived in southern CA for 18 years.
I was a Real Estate agent during the RE boom/bubble.
We made a good pile of money and bailed out for TX.
Liberal politics, restrictive EVERYTHING was the reason for the move.
My old HOA regulations (community laws) were a book 3 inches thick.
My new HOA regulations here in Texas = 3 pages of common sense stuff.
I always knew I'd come back to Texas. Galveston was my first duty station after boot camp.
