I've shot a lot of 110 grain cast bullets (RCBS gas check design for the M1 Carbine) out of my 1903 A3. They were great rabbit and vermin killers through a hundred yards. That was pre chronograph days, but they were about 1,800 fps and didn't damage meat too badly.
