Back in the '90's, I was often included in our client's contracts as an additional "engineering maintenance" man for remote television production shoots. I'd get a $150 fee above and beyond my salary and per diem for this. I'd do 3 or 4 of these a month. so I had about $600 every month to spend on guns. My wife was cool with me using this money as I wanted so long as I didn't touch my paycheck.
I could buy a nice 9mm back in those days for $300, and I bought A LOT of hardware back then.
