Yeah I can say Sti makes a great 1911 I have the guardian and loving it, they make it in 45 as well as 9mm.... Never have had a problem and the guys over there are great if you have and issues

I have recently had the opportunity in taking the ruger to the range and is also a great firearm accurate with goodbuild quality, I had a couple of feeding issues but it was also a brand new magazine. I do however have to say go the extra mile and spend a bit more and get a 1911 that your going to love and personally I would stay away from kimbers, just doesn't seem the have the quality they used to have for the price..

But just my 2 cents
