Glad to hear you had good luck with your scope repair. I have three VX-3's all with the Aluminum scope covers at $40 each ($80/pair for each scope). I had problems with one of them and emailed Leupold twice and go no response. I sent their Customer Service dept a letter via USPS and got no response. I've since given up on Leupold and am looking at Zeiss for my next scope.
