I have never shot/owned a Howa. I have several left hand Remingtons and Savages. The Remingtons are prettier, but I believe the Savages are more accurate out of the box.

The thing I like best about the Savages is that they are very easy for the average guy to work on and or customize. The ability to quickly change barrels and headspace without a lathe and a shop full of tools is a whole new ballgame.
