Not following a LEO's commands is a REALLY BAD IDEA. The results of which ,at best, are a black top facial ,and you might find yourself checking the bore on a Glock 22. They protect all of us ,and have a difficult enough job without an armed citizen wanting to debate criminal law and procedure. Your friends story sounds fishy ,and we don't know the LEO's side ,but that is the first time I've ever even heard of an LEO trying to take a CCW holders weapon ,without probable cause. It's also the only time I've ever heard that the citizen on a stop was allowed to do as they pleased ,in spite of the officers request/instructions. Regards 18DAI.
