I agree. My point was that while many if not most are hypocrites, some are artists.

We don't believe actors who commit rapes in movies are actually rapists, do we? And we would not accuse Jodie Foster of glamourizing rape in The Accused.

On the other hand, I did find her The Brave One to be hypocritical.

But it is too easy, and not necessarily accurate nor productive, to say any actor who has been in movies with guns is a hypocrite if he or she is an anti.
