I have one and rarely shoot it. I bought it new about ten years ago and paid over $450. for it. I was not happy with the accuracy of the 7.62X39 round and the Mini Thirty. I would buy a SKS and keep the change if it was a truck gun. If you buy one get the thirty round Themo-Mold Magazine. They are relatively cheap. Every one said the ammo was cheap but with the war in Iraq and China sucking up the mettalic resources nothing is cheap. I keep reading articles on the new Mini 14's from Rugar. If they wanted to make a lot of money I would like to have one in 6.8 SPC. for the accuracy. I had read a story about a Forest Ranger who hunted wild boar in Hawaii with the 7.63X39 in the Rugar Mini Thirty in the National forests. He swore by it plus he had many pig roasts.
