I owned one in 45acp... I liked it a lot.
It is a larger frame than the CZ75, its similar to the CZ97.
They used to make a normal sized version along the lines of the CZ75, but I believe they stopped making that version. (someone else may know) They offer caliber conversions, and going with one frame size made for simpler logistics.
If the one you seen is a few years old, it may be the small frame version.
I believe the mainspring is a different style than the CZ uses, maybe a few other parts as well... so tuning, aftermarket, and smith work may be a little more difficult.
