Any type of ball makes a great target for .22 rimfire.

Tennis balls and raquet balls give a little hop when you hit them, but don't usually go far, unless you hit them right at the bottom.

Golfballs are also a hoot. They tend to fly pretty far, so sometime I'll put a large cardboard box behind it. The bonus with golfballs is that they are about the same size as a squirrels head

Shotgun hulls also make good targets. And there are usually plenty lying around at the range.

For run and gun fun we use balloons or clay piqeons, as they instantly register any hit.

Bowling pins are also fun, as you often need to hit them on the top to get them to fall over.
