Less than 50 rounds of Herters brass 71gr. Bought new at Academy and it was the display model. The gun funtioned and shot very well up untill the problem described. Beretta was very helpfull and really couldn't have made it any easier to ship and receive (the Beretta guy mentioned Texas several times though). I sent an e-mail and they responded with a phone call and a few days later it was on it's way. The part in question does appear to be a little on the delicate side though, I wonder if when on display some bugger tried to pull the trigger with the safety on and tweaked it a little
They made on mention of why the part failed.
