I know this thread is pretty old but I finally have an update on my Blackfeather, after 3 months and a Govt shutdown waiting on the ATF the paperwork is finally in and the stock is in the mail, should be here tomorrow or the next day.

I ended up selling my Blackfeather stock to the actor that played Shughart in Black Hawk Down. He (Johnny Strong) is a big fan of the M14, and owns a few of them.
My Blackfeather was replaced with a Gen II Rogue bullpup conversion kit. It's pounds heavier than the 'RS" and it lacks the refinement you get from M14.ca, but it's supper short, and I can hand cycle subsonic ammo quickly with the left side charging handle which I had welded to the op rod.
