If you're going for CQB, why waste your time with the 5.56? 9mm carbines are much more controllable and the muzzle blast is less disorienting in enclosed spaces and low light conditions, yet they are still effective out to about 150 yards or more depending on optics. I've thought about SBRing my PC-9, but will wait a bit before doing that.
