.45 Colt & Contender 45/.410 bbl - longer 45 brass ?

Been diggin' a bit into this & seems that people get less than acceptable accuracy using 45 Colts in a TC 45/.410 barrel. The chambers are extremely long to allow for the .410 shotshell round & the bullet jump from brass to rifling seems to be the main culprit.

Seems that using longer brass for the 45 Colt would go a long way to a solution. 'Course, it wouldn't really be a 45 Colt any more either ...

Have some 444 Marlin brass on hand & they drop right in the chamber, but looking at dimensional specs, there's quite a bit of difference between that & the 45 LC - enough for me to not feel fuzzy about it.

Anything out there that's worthy of looking at? Did see something on one of the recommended sites about some guy looking into this, but forget the link .....
