JSG Requires a big heavy conical to be accurate. I have no clue how well it would work in a 45-70 though. Blackhorn209 while expensive and hard to find, is well worth it. Give it a look and call the company and tell them what you have and ask their opinion on if the powder would do good in that set up you have. Don Luhr is the guy to talk to.

Another thing, JSG- American pioneer MUST be compacted TIGHTLY. With a muzzleloader that is easy to control but with the 45-70, im not sure of.
