kimber was ignored because any true 1911 shooter knows kimbers are trash. they sell because they are pretty. they don't shoot nearly as well as anything else in that price point.

i don't like either sig you picked either. the p220 is a single stack, which i find silly in a gun of that size intended for combat use. there are so many great double stack 45's out there now that are set up for combat use. the 1911 is a single stack 45 originally designed for combat, but now mostly still produced for competition shooting. single stack is fine in this case. that being said, sig hasn't been in the 1911 game long enough for my tastes. plenty better choices in that price point.
