I actually agree... while its fun to flaunt numbers in the end dead is dead. Shot placement is 100X more important than power. My grandfather talks about killing a white tale with a 22 rifle when he was a kid and laws where not so strict.

any way my original point was that a 30 carbine should be fine so long as the shooter does there part.

Shot placement is everything! I would rather take a round of 50BMG to the foot than a 22short to the base of the skull.

all 26 of my guns are 45/70 govt, 357 mag, 22 or 12 ga... I believe in keeping it simple. Wish my wife did as well...
