I think the slug gun is all you would really need. I wouldn't worry about the revolver unless you just absolutly wanted to take one with you. I think the shotgun would work fine within range on hogs up to and over 200 lbs. If you hit the hogs right, you can take them with a lot less than a slug. That goes for anything though. I've taken several in the 200 to 250 lb range with a 223 and 22-250. They don't have much armor plating if you hit them in the ear. If your aiming for a shoulder shot, the penetration is going to be the big factor and you may look into a larger caliber rifle. I wouldn't even attempt a shoulder shot on a larger hog with a 223 cal. rifle. With hogs, you have less room for error on shot placement.
