I think Guy Hogue & Hogue Grips of Southern CA are tops. They have many firearm contracts & provide custom grips to LE/military units.
Craig Spegel of OR is highly rated. He started the J frame Boot Grip design but also has Hi-Power & 1911a1 grips.
