That's why a lot of departments have DAO pistols - aka New York triggers. I've done that a few times at the range (unintended double taps on light trigger SA pistols) through the years and that's without the adrenaline.

Unintended shot during self defense

Hey everybody,
I have heard of two times where, after a self defense shooting, the person shooting shoots an additional round into the ground unintentionally after shooting the BG. Both stories didn't have a lot of detail about the last shot but I thought it was kind of interesting that a similar thing happened in two different situations. My thought is that their bodies were still very tense after the shooting and reflexes caused the last shot. I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
