All the sheet steel slides were made in Germany. At some point in the early 90's assembly of the 220 started in the states. You can tell if the 220 was assembled in the US if it doesn't have proof marks or a date code under the dust cover. The 220 had a small redesign at serial number 219166 and the one pictured is slightly older than that as it has the spurred hammer. This is when they beefed up the frame some and changed the recoil spring to the 20# one painted green.
