I'm no expert on Remmies,,,

But that looks like an original 1858 Remington.

My advice would be to have it appraised,,,
Also do not clean it until you do that,,,
Improper cleaning hurts value.

You might have a reasonably valuable gun on your hands,,,
If not valuable it's still a very desirable heirloom.
