I have been loading .40 S&W for a while and am going to get started with the 9x19. I have been looking at the different loads in the powder manufacturers' manuals and have noticed that the +P defensive loads on the market have similar ballistics (as advertized) to the published max load ballistics in the VihtaVuori and Alliant catalogs. Are these max loads in the manuals actually over pressure (+P) loads? I looked at the SAAMI web site and couldn't find any actual standards ... whilie we're at it, what pressure constitutes MAX, +P and +P+?
