I once chased a badguy across a parking lot and had my HK USP 40 hop out of my holster and chase me down the block for about 15 feet. I started wearing a lanyard after that. Ground of a bit of my front sight and a bit of the front of the slide. My Partner once decided that watching his HK slide down the freeway at high speed. Not sure why it went for a slide but it was kind of funny in an I'm glad its not me sort of way. Ground some nice gouges in his slide.
