BP cartridge shotgun

I have a single shot shotgun, Forehand Arms, that my father had for years. Since I can remember he said the firing pin was broken. A friend of mine knew a gunsmith who said he could fix it. The gunsmith made a pin and told him it was a black powder cartridge shotgun from the late 1800's. He said I could use very light, low brass modern shells (which he used to test it) but Id like to shoot it the way it was meant to be shot. Anyone know anything about these, like where to get shells? I cant find much on the 'net. Thanks again, this site is great.

PS I just bought some .36 cal balls for my cap & ball rev. that Ive never shot. I think I'll try the wads with the olive oil/beeswax seal. It cant hurt right? Thanks again
