mehavey, when the staff see something like that, we invariably will delete it as being a "double-tap."
You could just edit the duplicate posts with that indication. At that point, not only will staff see it and understand, but so will the entire audience to the thread... Until one of us mods delete it/them.
Heck, I've seen it happen to a thread start, on several occasions. No big deal.
