Im 99% sure I just saw a post in the last week or so from someone who picked up a Savage at walmart and the trigger on it was non adjustable. I think it was on rimfire central and will see if I can locate it.
The poster stated he called savage and that it was specific to walmart on that model.

if I can find it I will link it to here or edit my post here if I am incorrect.

EDIT 10-16-12 Correcting my post. The one I was thinking of was from wal mart, but it was a Marlin and not the Savage.
