One of the commenter's to the article claimed to have know the bear personally
. He said the bears name is Clyde.
There is a Bear Sanctuary about 50 miles north that draws bear from a lot further away. There are bear in that place that are so fat their belly's drag the ground and they are so pleased with themselves with what they do.
