as far as the 50 A.E. Marlin... it's a beast... turned that sweet shooting 44 Mag lever into a literal beast... we even had to glass the fore arm, just to keep things together reliably... of course thats shooting hot custom cast bullet loads... 10 rounds in the tube gives great capacity for a big bore... I bought the Marlin new, just for this conversion... shot a couple of tubes full of 44's, then turned it over to my builder... now... you can barely tell that it's not a stock 44 Marlin... er... well... except for the opened up loading gate, the bigger diameter of the tube mag & outer barrel diameter... & of course the seriously big hole in the muzzle end
I have not spoken to my builder for suggestions yet on a non AR platform for the 50 Beowulf... but so far, I like the Enfield Idea, with a composite stock, & "frenched" in Alexander Arms 5 round removable box mag...
