Slamfire, how about telling us about that rifle.

Presonally I don't like slow burning powder in the '06, not because it don't work but because I load for two many 30-06 rifles, including my Garand, M917, M1903a3, M-70 Vietnam Era Sniper Rifle Clone. I don't want different loads for that many rifles. I use 4895 which was designed for the 30-06.

But slow powders do work in bolt guns. Besides 4350, 4831 is another excellent slow burning powder for the '06 or 270 (I do used those two powders in my 270 and use 4350 in my Krag.
