I love 22 handguns. Revolvers mostly, but I don't look down my nose at semi's either. I had a Ruger 22/45 with a 4" bull barrel that I'd mounted a cheap BSA red dot sight on. Great shooting little gun.
I went into my LGS a couple of days ago and saw this one in the case. Ruger Standard Model from 1960, 6" barrel, fixed sights, box and owners manual. Got it for just under $200.00 out the door. That's the "best" 22 IMHO. An inexpensive one.
It might not shoot one hole groups at 50 yards, but I'll bet it will make a pine cone dance if I do my part.
