They peened off the swastikas and the war eagles which is the eagle over a swastika. Other than that they left most of the markings intact. You don't find swastikas on israeli mausers but you do see waffenamt acceptance marks intact on the various parts.
My czech rampant lion receiver israeli mauser has clearly been peened on the left side.
