I had a P226 that developed a feeding hitch after a few hundred rounds. I documented the problem well with writing and pictures and contacted Sig's customer service. They asked me a few questions about use and cleaning procedures, then had me ship the gun back so they could give it a look. I had it back within two weeks and it has been fine since. In my case, I am not sure they found one single smoking gun (no pun intended), but they re-profiled and polished several feeding and contact surfaces.
