.22 semi-auto rifles
Probably having nothing to do with my upcoming birthday, my wife has developed an usual interest in 22 semi-auto rifles. Not owning one (yet I guess) I just said Ruger 10/22 in stainless, having once shot one and it was fun. Is that a reasonable choice, or am I missing something?

I used to love being able to hit hard at 1000 yards. As I get older I find hitting a mini ram at 200 yards with the 22 oddly more satisfying.
