The mount you mention is a good one and so are the optics. After you have mounted this set up on the M1A, you will need to purchase one of those elevated cheekpieces to get your eye high enough to line up with the optics or you will have your face off the stock comb which is not good for accurate shooting. In short, you will not have a good "weld spot" for your head/cheek to return to for concistant shot placement. Additionally, if the head/cheek placement is not solid or firm, recoil can be pronounced.
