I prefer a semi-compact auto in 9MM for CCW. I currently carry a CZ PCR, or HK P7 PSP, but in the summer a lighter smaller Beretta M85FS in .380.
Everyone is different. Carry what you can shoot the best, and dress around it. Nothing wrong with a .38 Spl snubby.
