I got a Remington in ss a while back. It's my first 1911. I am happy with it. 400 rounds with 0 issues. I used it to qualify for my ccl and scored 248. I am sure much nicer 1911's exist, but I paid just over $700 so I am happy. I think the none ss remington 1911's can be found for under $600 now.
