I had the same experience with mine about three years ago. I called Ruger in Prescott and was put through to a young lady. After I explained my predicament and she got her laughing under control, she talked me through a number of steps that magically freed everything up and let me disassemble my 22/45. She then talked me through the correct reassembly process. For me, it was worth the price of the phone call. Wish I could remember her name so you could ask for her.
