I just put my standard Ruger 10/22 in a Hogue Overmolded stock meant for a bull barrel. Im getting the bull barrel next month. Question: i want to shoot a few hundred rounds this week through it, will i have to worry about the standard barrel free floating in the wider stock channel? will this hurt the receiver? Like i said it will only be a few hundred rounds through it until i get the bull barrel on next month. You may say why dont i wait till next month, but i simply cant wait to shoot this gun any longer. Now Ive heard some people say the receiver will be fine even though it's aluminum, and not to worry. others said they would be weary it may stretch the aluminum. I personally don't see it being such a big problem temporarily, but i'd like to get the experts opinion
