Would I just be wasting money if I were to save up and get the Nightforce The BEAST 5-25x56mm F1? Also I want to know more of the pros and cons of the first focal plane. I'm really not an expert. I have been hunting for about 35 years. I achieved an expert marksman status in the Air Force about 25 years ago. I shoot pretty good. But this is all very new to me.
If you are only shooting known distance then the second focal plane will work just fine. However, if you intend to use the scope for rangefinding then it is easier with a FFP scope.
