A Leupold Optical boresighter is about $30 IIRC. That's what I use. It gets me on paper at 25, then I go from there.

As for laser rangefinders, my cheapie Bushnell Yardage Pro 400 works very well, but here's the one I want, as a gadget to replace 2 other gadgets (simplification):
