I do practice with what I shoot as for expansion I shot a guy in the chest with a 110gr federal JHP +p+38spl The round entered just off center went through 2 layers of clothing through the heart and lower lobe of the lung and stopped just under the skin in the back mushroomed to .612 on the micrometer.
