Waivers...

The last class I attending had written waivers that stated "You can be seriously injured or killed..." and required signatures. The instructors and range were held safe from all liability. However, in California, liability waivers are null and void if negligence is proven.

That and the fact that all the instructors and several of the students wore armor made us take the safety and danger levels very seriously.

They also spent a few minutes training to call 911 if an accident happened and to report "There has been a training accident at the so-and-so range, please send paramedics!" rather than saying "There has been a shooting..." and seeing SWAT show up.

This was a CAR class and some of the shooting positions can be dangerous if you are not vigilent and careful!
